Summary of Work Start Scheme Placement Opportunity
Llangollen is a heritage Railway celebrating 50 years this year it is in an area of outstanding beauty on the River Dee in LIangollen. It started in 1975 by a group of enthusiasts who saw the potential for a scenic heritage railway. This has grown over the years to become a charity with various events throughout the year.
Duties/Responsibilities
Are you organized, people-focused, and ready to make a difference at one of Denbighshire’s best-loved heritage attractions? Join us at Llangollen Railway Trust as our Volunteer Coordination Assistant and play a vital role in supporting our amazing team of volunteers! What you’ll be doing: •        Supporting our Volunteer Coordinator in all aspects of volunteer engagement •        Responding to volunteer enquiries via email, telephone, and business WhatsApp •        Processing new volunteer applications and helping them settle into the team •        Maintaining accurate records and data using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) •        Helping us provide a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who wants to get involved! About you: •        Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook •        Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional when dealing with the public •        A great communicator at all levels, with excellent written and verbal skills •        A motivated self-starter who can manage their time effectively This is a brilliant opportunity to gain valuable admin and coordination experience in a vibrant heritage setting – and to work alongside passionate people making a real impact in the community.
