General Requirements
As an Administrative Assistant, you will help to support the efficient running of offices.
You’ll carry out a wide range of administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and filing documents.
Some Administrative Assistants provide cover on a reception desk or telephone switchboard.
To become an Administrative Assistant, you will need:
- good verbal and written communication skills
- number and IT skills
- to be well organised and careful
Training is often on-the-job. You might be able to work towards qualifications such as NVQs.
Training Courses
Many administrators complete a European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification. If you are already signed up to a Working Denbighshire project the contact your mentor about this course.
