Duties/Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Trainee Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a passion for automotive maintenance and repair, offering the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic workshop environment. As a Trainee Mechanic, you will assist experienced mechanics in performing basic servicing and repairs, cleaning, detailing, and tyre changes. This role will provide hands-on training and valuable experience in the automotive industry.  

Responsibilities:  

Assist experienced mechanics in performing basic servicing and repairs on vehicles  
Learn and follow maintenance schedules and procedures for various makes and models of vehicles  
Clean and detail vehicles, both interior and exterior, to ensure they are presented in top condition to customers  
Assist in tyre changes, including mounting, balancing, and wheel alignment  
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and tools  
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment  
Learn to diagnose mechanical issues and assist in troubleshooting and repairs under supervision  
Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by senior mechanics or management  
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities
Passion for automotive maintenance and repair  
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics  
Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship  
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team  
Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately  
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour in a workshop environment  
Valid driver’s license is required
