Summary of Work Start Scheme Placement Opportunity
Finer Forage is a small equine feed business, based in beautiful North Wales. As horse and pony owners and lovers, we were inspired by a need to find feeds that were right for our own herds. In a market flooded with options, we couldn’t seem to find one that was right for us, and found that many other owners felt the same, so we decided to do something about it.   We are looking for a person with an interest in providing administrative support and general office duties.     
Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide admin support to the organisation i.e. typing up documents, inputting information, excel, PowerPoint presentations. • Create and maintain effective filing systems. • Order and maintain office and warehouse supplies, as well as raising purchase orders. • Relay information to stakeholders. • Assist in organising social, training, or fundraising events. • Set up meetings and take minutes. • Manage switchboard calls and messages. • Review and update contact lists. • Manage incoming and outgoing post. • Monitor general inbox and respond or redirect queries as appropriate. • Log health and safety checks. • Coordinate meetings and help provide special requirements for meetings. • General office duties. • Monitor office and reception, greeting customers and visitors. • General sales. • Order and replenish sundry supplies for office, warehouse and surroundings. • Create, manage and maintain social media presence in line with brand ethos and message. • Instigate and investigate contact with new suppliers and services, as per business demands and requirements. • Create and maintain customer and client database, in accordance with data protection legislation. • Support the directors in sundry tasks to meet the needs of the business, as and when requested. • Assist with maintaining a clean and tidy office, reception area and workspace. • Assist with the general running of the business. • Usual place and hours of work are as above, however from time to time you may be asked to work at a different site and/or differing hours. This will be advised with reasonable notice.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities
Relevant office experience. • Experience in a receptionist role. • Proficient IT skills. • Strong organisational skills. • Awareness of legislation and data protection. •Interest in horses and / or pet health and nutrition.   Desirable qualifications: • GCSE in Math and English • NVQ Level 2 in Business or Administration • Familiarity with Microsoft Systems, Social Media Platforms, Canva or similar design Software
